Tulip

Tulips are a genus of spring-blooming perennial flowers, known scientifically as Tulipa, characterized by their bold colors and elegantly shaped blossoms. These flowers commonly display a cup-shaped morphology, though some varieties can have a fringed or parrot-like appearance due to ruffled edges. The blooms are typically single-colored, but they can also feature remarkable streaks, swirls, or multicolor patterns.

Tulips originate from a wide geographical range that covers parts of Asia and Europe, with a significant historical presence in Turkey and Iran before becoming famously cultivated in the Netherlands. They usually bloom in early spring, making them some of the first flowers to herald the end of winter.

As for their scent, tulips generally have a very subtle fragrance compared to more aromatic flowers like roses or lilies. The aroma is lightly floral and clean, often described as fresh and earthy with hints of green notes. Not all tulip varieties are scented, but those that are can carry a slightly sweet undertone that enhances their delicate appeal. This mild fragrance makes tulips particularly appealing for those sensitive to strong floral scents, fitting well in serene and understated decorative settings or bouquets.
