Limoncello

Limoncello is a vibrant and aromatic Italian liqueur traditionally made from the zest of Sorrento lemons, though other varieties may also be used. This zesty outer layer of the lemons is steeped in high-proof spirit, usually vodka or pure alcohol, until the oils are released, imparting a rich, natural yellow color. The infusion is then sweetened with sugar syrup.
